Weddings at Almiral

  • Almiral de la Font is a versatile venue and has hosted many weddings. We know we are doing something right when wedding planners, photographers and florists call us to organise their own weddings. Weddings at Almiral have tended to be less conventional affairs involving celebrations over a number of days with guests coming from different parts of the world and using the property as a base for their celebrations and ceremony. We can seat up to 120 in banquet style in the patio area and there is no time restriction to celebrate as long and as much as you want.You will find us on many blogs and magazines. Setting

The facilities available are as follows:

  • An indoor Events Room with surround sound music system seating up to 75 comfortably – this is generally used for dancing.
  • An outdoor patio area allowing seating and dancing for up to 120 persons. This area can be covered by our specially made marquee providing a rain-free area and welcome shade. There is a cost for this and we do need at least 2/3 days notice to erect this structure.
  • An outdoor moroccan lounge giving an alternative cocktail/drinks/chill-out area.

The other spaces are well documented in the website and can be more intimate. We have recently added a lovely outdoor ceremony and drinks area which adds even more options.

Catering

  • With weddings and other celebrations, the catering is important. We work with five experienced catering companies who deliver consistently good food and service. We also have our own personal chef, Gillian Wylie, who is excellent and can offer a tailored and personalised catering service. Details are available on request.

Preparation and organisation

  • For weddings organised remotely, we would recommend the use of a wedding planner for all the many planning stages involved and in making sure everything runs as it should with as little or no stress to those enjoying the event. We work with excellent wedding planners and can recommend them to you.

Prices

  • We maintain the same charges unless group sizes are large. We expect that the property is treated with respect by all guests. With any large group, we would strongly recommend that you appoint someone to ensure that the facility is being used properly and is not being abused – this can also mean that those used glasses are picked up and the toilets stay clean and tidy. We can provide someone if you wish.
